I was told by a researcher in the field of autism, that when he attended a conference in Italy on the genetic aspects of autism and mentioned the link between the vaccine program and autism incidence, one of the public officials in the Italian Health Department stood and told him in an angry tone that everyone knew that the vaccines were causing injury to children’s brains, but the success of the vaccine“program” was more important. Further, he stated, these problems need to be downplayed so as not to endanger the vaccine “program.” (source)
On Herd Immunity...
One of the grand lies of the vaccine program is the concept of “herd immunity.” It is based on the idea that if a certain percentage of the population is immunized against an infectious disease, epidemics can be prevented. The exact percentage changes, mainly, in my opinion, to suit the vaccine manufacturers. In the beginning it was 68 percent, but now some are calling for 95 to 100 percent immunization to reach these goals. We are constantly told, and many doctors believe, that herd immunity has prevented epidemics from occurring in modern America.
Unfortunately, there is very little evidence of this for a number of reasons. For instance, it is assumed that high percentages of the population have been immunized through vaccine programs against diphtheria, smallpox, tetanus and pertussis, some of he older vaccines in the schedule. According to recent studies, the problem with this is that most of the protection afforded by these as childhood vaccines waned many decades ago, so that most baby boomers, the largest percentage of the population, have no protection. In fact, vaccines for most Americans declined to non-protective levels within 5 to 10 years of the vaccines. This means that for the vast majority of Americans, as well as others in the developed world, herd immunity doesn’t exist and hasn’t for over 60 years. (source)

Explanation On The Potential Ways Vaccines Cause Autism
Dr. Blaylock first discussed how excess glutamate, the most abundant neurotransmitter in the brain, can cause neurons — brain cells — to die. Vaccines can lead to excess glutamate in the body because some of them contain MSG (monosodium glutamate) or some of its derivatives. The Chickenpox vaccine by VariVax and Merck’s MMR vaccine are two examples of this.
In excess and when the body’s ability to regulate the excess is hampered, glutamate can kill brain cells by creating a cascade of chemical reactions that produces huge amounts of the inflammatory free radicals superoxide and nitric acid. Free radicals are the toxic waste of the body. If they are not promptly dealt with they can not only lead to chronic inflammation, but poison the brain and the body’s mitochondria, deplete the body’s enzyme reserves, and lead to a further disruption to the body’s ability to clear excess glutamate. Now we have a vicious cycle.
There are genes that govern glutamate regulation. Some people appear to have genes that inhibit this process. Hence there may be a genetic component to being predisposed to things like autism. Maybe this is why not everybody is as sensitive to MSG and excess glutamate from vaccines.
Further, environmental toxins such as mercury may affect gene expression and could potentially turn genes on or off that govern glutamate regulation. As we know, some vaccines still contain mercury in the form of thimerosal. The CDC admits on their website that the multi-dose flu vaccine contains thimerosal, but has claimed to remove it from all other vaccines. Other sources seem to indicate otherwise, that thimerosal is still commonly used in the production of vaccines and is present in trace amounts. According to Dr. Blaylock, trace amounts of mercury are all that is needed to cause or contribute to excitotoxicity and resulting brain damage in some individuals.
One more important way that excess glutamate can cause brain damage can happen even before a baby is born. Glutamate plays a huge role in the migration of brain cells of an embryo/fetus. Too much glutamate exposure when a baby is developing can cause irregular brain cell formation. If mom is consuming MSG regularly from processed or restaurant foods, if she gets a vaccine, and especially if she has impaired glutamate regulation, it is possible that her developing baby could be exposed to too much glutamate at the wrong time, causing abnormal brain development.
It is important to note that people with autism are known to have high blood glutamate levels.
High Cytokine Levels
Cytokines are agents in the body that regulate how the body responds to infection. Inflammatory cytokines regulate the body’s inflammatory response to infection and are a necessary, healthy part of immunity. In some instances, however, inflammatory cytokine response can go unchecked leading to serious problems. This is called a “cytokine storm”. Death from the 1918 Spanish Flu, for instance, are believed to have been caused by cytokine storms — too many cytokines creating inflammation in the body in response to the infection.
Dr. Blaylock believes that vaccines can cause cytokine storms that may last for years. Further, it is has shown that the brains of autistic individuals have high cytokine activity with resulting high levels of inflammation. Was a vaccine-related cytokine storm the cause of the brain inflammation that recently killed Chandler Webb of Salt Lake City, UT in the aftermath of a flu shot? To me it seems a distinct possibility!
Let’s also consider this — according to Dr. Blaylock, 82% of children with autism experience subclinical seizures — ie they are not noticed. He believes this is probably caused by excess glutamate and cytokines.
Let’s also consider that inflammatory cytokines plays a roll also in normal brain development, pruning brain cells that are not needed and causing them to die in utero. If this process goes out of control because mom was just subjected to something such as a flu shot, or also a really bad case of the flu, this process of pruning brain cells could go awry for the developing baby. It seems that we need to do a study to determine if babies born to women who received vaccinations or had a bad infection while pregnant have more cytokines in their system.

Hyperactive Microglia Cells
Lastly, Dr. Blaylock discussed the role of microglial cells in the development of brain disorders including autism. Microgial cells are immune cells in the brain that secrete poisons in order to kill microbes that invade the brain. When you get the flu and feel like withdrawing, like your brain is foggy, like you just want to get away from everyone and everything and sleep — that’s microglial cells at work. When they work properly, they protect the brain from infection and cause behaviors that will help one to rest and recover more quickly from infection.
Sometimes microglial cells can become hyperactive. The results can be devastating. Brain issues caused by or associated with microglial hyperactivity include rabies, brain damage from infections such as measles, AIDS dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease. Some people have postulated that chronic depression may also be caused by hyperactive microglial cells.
Dr. Blaylock states that the brains of autistic people have hyperactive microglial cells. He believes they become hyperactive in a few ways. First, microglial cells can be “primed” to become hyperactive through some sort of stimulation. This can occur with a first exposure to vaccines. The vaccines can alert the microglial cells to get ready to flood the brain with toxins to kill pathogens. MSG and excess glutamate can also prime microglial cells, as can tiny amounts of mercury, aluminum, and also fluoride.
Once microglial cells are primed, they are on high alert to turn on in full force. This can happen with another onslaught of vaccines, as well as a leaky gut, which causes food allergens to flow through the bloodstream including into the brain. In fact, every time a child eats foods they have become allergic to, such as gluten or milk, the microglial cells could be stimulated to dump poisons in the brain, leading to a worsening of the symptoms of autism.
